I'm planning a large stand build- its for a reptile enclosure ill make out of plywood. it will have sand and rocks in it, but obviously wont have to bear the weight that aquarists require.

the stand will be120x19x26

cut list
10 16 inch 2x4's
10 19 inch 2x4's (verticals)
10 25.5 inch 2x4's (to bind the verticals)
4 ten foot 2x4's
wood screws
8 foot plywood cut

is this a good start? do the measurements make sense? anything else i should be thinking of?

thanks!

hmmm. maybe if i ask a specific question. is a project ok like this using only 2x4's?

i read pharoahs post about how much weight 2x4's can actually take. Im thinking verticles every two feet and probably extra support on the corners.

what do people think?

You'll be more than good with 2x4s and spacing of every 2 feet. It's hard to gie specific on the fly with just a cut list, but the plan looks solid.
