10 gallon cichlid tank

I just got a 10 gallon fish tank yesterday and instead of having killer fishes like I have in my 55g I wanna try out the south american cichlids. I know there are not many I can put in a 10g but will be upgradin to 20g in awhile so you guys got any suggestions on south american cichlids?

some dwarf pikes are wicked awesome that is what i did but man he is crazy almost bite me when cleaning the tank

You could get some Killer Rams. Not much you can do with 10g's. Maybe a Solo Salvini or Convict.

a single convict? or 2 rams? Thats all you have room for.

Blue rams are small but sensitive. Bolivian rams are tougher but larger than blues.

I'd go for nothing of the killer cichlid variety. Still some cool fish you can put in there though. Ummm... what is in your 55?

Check out the apistos they have great color and they have a bit of the cichlid attitude but they work pretty well in the community tank as well

the rams are a good suggestion, but sorry, no way is a 10 gallon tank big enough for either a salvini or convict, solo or not. apistos also a good suggestion
