10 gallon ideas?

I have a spare ten gallon and I know it's not exactly a monster tank lol but if anyone has any suggestions for a 10 gallon?

you can do planted
just get 2 shop light from homedepot ($13 bucks a piece)
then go to your lfs and get 2 15w 6500k t8s and put it over your tank and you got a planted tank!
just need to figure out substrate then your all set !
and you could get a betta with a planted tank would be cool!

I have a 10 gallon with plants and red cherry shrimp. They are very cool to watch putter around, a little different than a fish tank. You could also do snails (I haven't tried that)

I've never gone planted before I don't really know where to start but I do like the idea of a small amazon planted biotope does anyone know some names of amazon native plants? Stock wise I was thinking 2 hatchetfish a few cardinal tetras and a few Otocinclus and maybe a dwarf cichlid
