10 Gallon Planted tank? Questions.

Hi I have a 10gallon planted tank that I set up with, flora-base and some a piece of driftwood and just added a amazon broad leaf and moneyworts it's very empty but I have this co2 system from hagen brand and was wondering if my side filter would affect it? I wouldn't think so that much because it has a diffuser and it's cheap 30$ co2 system I dont' think it would matter much about surface disruption but could you tell me if i need to change my filter?

I do have proper lighting. It's a 65 watt Dual compact something flora lights. xD
 
i had the same one on my 20 gallon. i also used it on a 10. they are great. your filter shouldnt be a problem mine wasnt.65 watts of lighting:WHOA:. watch out for algea.;)
 
The filter will be a problem. With that co2 unit, you will have to have zero surface agitation, otherwise, you will gas off all the co2 you are producing. 65W PC for a 10 gallon should really have 2-3 of the hagen co2 units.

Is this what I need for zero surface agitation?
I work at petcetera >.> I get discounts on the stuff and yeah. But the CO2 THING is like deadly. because We have none of that so I had to go to a specialty fish store = expensive.
Aswell as I'm only 15. I bought the hood which costed more than the tank! 80$ And that was because it was used from the store or else it would be 120$ NEW!

Please give me some suggestions. xD I also wanna put some of these plants into the 10gallon.

The ones on the bottom. rightt if this pic was standard. The guy said he'd sell me 10$ each plant because he has to tie it to a base rock or something?

MY TANK IS SO BAREE. Look at it T_T It's so bad right now. But I have a visual concept going. I'll just add plants where I feel are good.

I AM NOT getting a canister filter unless you can find me one for less than 40$ because I am broke.
 
Sorry I'm mistaken badly I checked under the hood yet again. It is a 40Watt Power compact Satellite.

If you look at the pic that says A for configuration A It's two bulbs but there attached together and that is where i was mistaken. They call that one bulb even though it's two small compact fluorescents taht are attched to each other.
