I have a 10 gallon tank that could use a resealing... So, instead of resealing it, I was thinking about trying a diy tank with it. I have a bunch of extra pond liner (from the pond... doy) and I have some plywood... So all I need to buy is silly-cone and I can try this out.
I was thinking of attaching pond liner to each piece of the tank then assembling. After that I could silicone the seams and be done with it. Then I would silicone the front pane of glass (which is what I would get from the 10 gallon.
If this worked out I would probably get a betta for it, seeing as I have an extra aquaclear 20 and we have a nice selection locally...
Does this seam feasible? I would be doing 11 inches high (to give room for the 10 inch glass), 22 inches long, and 12 inches front to back. That would be about 12 gallons and I think it would make a great kitchen or classroom tank. My dad is a science teacher, so this would make a good tank for him. A betta and a couple of small tetras would make an easy to keep tank. I could do water changes for him
Again, does this method seem solid?
