I love my setups as clean as possible. I have a 10g housing feeder golfish. Would it harm to add a aquaclear 70 HOB to this size tank? I would add lots of rock and decor to distur the current. Good or bad idea?
10 gallon with too much filtration?

No over filteration is best, i saw somewhere someone had a 29 gallon tank hooked up to fx5

Your idea would work if you want your fish to live in a washing machine. An AC70 will produce way too much current in a 10 gallon tank.
Thier maybe ways of spreading out the current...if you have you 10 on a stand... Even if its a small tank i say sump 
lol maybe over kill however ive seen 10 gallon tanks with sumps
