hey just got a 10 gallon tank and stand whats the best thing i can do with it.. freshwater and saltwater ideas would be great! i have a 75 with some piranhas but i want something else thats really cool. what can i do HELP@!!

sounds good it has a top fin 20? filter that should be adaquate correct? what other equipment should i look into if im going to do a reef tank with shrimp or something

I would suggest you go to www.nanoreef.com if you plan on a nano reef. Your lights will need to be upgraded and you will need a protien skimmer.

I would do a planted nano myself. You could do a "low tech" and have a nice display.

Im in the middle of getting a 5 1/2 planted nano going. I am using the stock incandescent hood but am replacing the bulbs with the 10 watt screw in CF from Wal-Mart. That will give me approx. 4 watts per gallon. Besides that I am using a small submersable heater, AC20, and proper substrate.

A ten gallon would be perfect for this. Just replace the bulbs with the CF add the substrate and dose with Seachem flourish and maybe Excel if need be. Add some small fish, some nice shrimp and let it go.

Its a ten watt screw in flourescent made for incandescent hoods. You can find it hanging in the fish dept. at Wal-Mart. Its full spectrum and perfect for small planted tanks.

BTW its $4.97.
