10 in. Dovii, another shot

Is it common for this fish to lack a head hump at 10 in? I seem to have no luck with cichlids with handsome foreheads

He's alone. Won't tolerate anything with him. Tried once to put him with a jardini but it seemed like the aro wouldn't last overnight.
