Inherited a tank with a 10" tiger Oscar, just wondering what size and type of fish if any I can put in there with him. Pretty mean fish but tank may be too small for him to have a partner... Any suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks
Your pretty much stocked for that 55g, I think most would agree that a 75g is the minimum for a single Oscar but a 55g isn't a bad perma home for him.
Enjoy your inherited fish though, Oscars have some personalities on them.
That Oscar will get toooo Big for a 55 I had to go to buy a bigger tank for one fish Same problem

I think a 90 gallon has the same footprint as a 75.your best bet is to upgrade the tank to at least a 90g and go from there.
a 90g is a good size because it is the same length as the 55g so it doesn't take up any more wall space. its just much wider and taller.
good luck
