Thanks.
The top tank has a submersible pump behind the baffle. It is my experimental auto cleaning low maintenance project.
I plan on leaving the bottom open glass, so light will pass into the tank below, and any solid waste can be water swept. In the lower front corner of the baffle is a 2000 GPH suction hole,
If needed for waste removal.
A fluidised sand filter for biofilttration, and a 8" 20" tall glass vase, that can be loaded with floss, and any other media.

Update

Three years about on the blue drum with about 10 foot of head pressure.

The white drum failed after 2 years, with about 15 feet of head pressure.

The bottom becomes convexed at about 5 psi, and the weight is mostly concentrated on a mold seam. Which cause it to seep water .

So going to try a horizontal cradle next.

I think the blue drums are stronger.

20190214_185731.jpg I am going to use 8x16 cement blocks for bases.

Then add a new shelf end cap on the far left. This will leave a 5' x 24" space for my hydroponics stuff.

Mostly need a indoor area to hold over my strawberries during winter.

Isla Taboga Panama via Milwaukee
In a similar system I did, I put filter socks on the pipes to the drum, and in that way few solids collected in it.

The first stop went from aquarium to planted refugium (with stand pipes), which then overflowed to the barrel.

Note. Not all drums are made the same.
I had the right side start leaking at the seam down the center of the top with the removable caps.
I noticed some drums the ideal ones have a very obvious heat sealed bump along this seam. The one that leaked did not.
