Cannot believe the weight gain we all say that cichlids slow down in growth once they hit a year old but still doubled in size the second year

I remember when I bought my Midas at 12" I was thinking he maxed out already and 6 years later hes at about 16". People say that can't get that big but after some research they're plenty of people who have them that big especially large aquariums for the public.

Crazy nice trimac! I think the person who sawid fish's growth slows down the 2nd year didnt weigh his fish.With big cichlids, its when they bulk up and become real showstoppers.
