Hoping that this time there are no complications. As most of you know this girl miscarried 2 pups last time around. :(

These pics were taken yesterday. Exactly 10 weeks from her unfortunate day.

Just out of curiousity, when do you guys seperate pregnant females from the rest of the rays? I will just be putting up a divider in the pond. Was planning on doing about 90 days in, but don't want to stress her at all.

Hope you enjoy.

Congrats.. Hope no complications this time.

nice,

actually, do not seperate the female, seperate the male.. If you seperate the female then she may get stressed. On my first litter i did not seperate i was there and saw the whole thing. I realized then my male was all over the pups so i got them out as soon as possible.. The 2nd litter i put a divider in at day 88, becasue i saw her dialating or something, she was opened up a little. pups did not come for almost 2 weeks. when they came nothing messed with them...this go around no divider had the pups in the middel of the night and the male or other rays did not bother them.

good luck she is looking huge. all the pups pre-sold?

Thanks guys.....

I planned on just coraling the other rays to the other side of the pond and tossing in the divider. I know not to move the female.

She looks big in the pics, but after she eats on a heavy day she is ginormous...LOL

1 pup is spoken for as I truly owe the guy it's going to..... I may keep one, actually, IF I have as much trouble selling pups as I do adults I'll be stuck keeping them all...... lol Hopefully that doesn't happen cause I imagine things will be getting kicked into high gear very soon, as I have 2 more female Marbles that are probobly about mature, and 2 more mature females ( 1 hybrid and another marble) that haven't been knocked up yet.

Keeping my fingers crossed for hybrids by summers end.

I would add the divider at about day 90 like you said, just putting the divider in shouldnt disrupt her to much. I mean if my ray can handle being physically moved im sure puting one small divider in the tank isnt going to bother her

I have yet to actually have the birth yet however.... so im hoping there are not complications later down the line.

if ur still having trouble selling the pups or adults for that matter check with some zoos and aquariums. the national zoo lost over half its stingray population a couple weeks ago. some of your rays may be used to help reconstitute their population. i believe they have 9 now but they lost 11rays and 2 arrowanas i believe it was.
