Half inch glass, no leaks, but no center support either. Has made it tough to find a top, or figure out a way to build something. The tank has been sitting full for 2 weeks cycling, no leaks like I said, but am worried about there not being anything in the middle. Ive seen some pics in threads of people clamping it or building something, but am unsure what if anything to do.

Youe options are the glass canopy tops or the plastic three section lids. The lids I think fit best when there are braces which you can order from tank companies and they are easy enough to install yourself.I put one on a 125 after removing the braceless frame.

you have to get a top made, but don't worry about the lack of a center brace. its just an older tank, thats why the glass is so thick. do check the silicone though. it would be older if it hasn't been resealed.

the older braceless tanks were made better than today's braced tanks with thinner glass IMO.
