100 Gallon stocking advice

Hi guys, im originally member baxtor_lex, some of you may remember me! iv just got back into the hobby and brought myself a sweet 100 gallon. But im abit out of touch with things..... i should be buying all my equipment within the next month with the hopes of stocking it end of january.

I wanted a community tank, but with a couple dominant cichlids. Blood Parrots, maybe a couple of convicts. But what i would really like to know is what will breed with a blood parrot other then convicts and firemouths, and any suggestions on tankmates?

If i were you i would not keep convicts together. They breed easily and are very aggressive during spawning.

I saw a couple BP salvini Hybrids. they were really nice. You can cross pretty much any central American cichlid with a BP.
I wouldn't do anything with cons. There only good as feeders

If I were doing a large tank and wanted several medium sized cichlids I would get several juvies of the species I want to be in the tank. Like 5 BPs, 5 salvinis, 5 FM, what ever you want. If you raise them together there should be less aggressive behavior than if introduced at a larger size and as they grow remove the ones that seem to cause problems.
