Hi guys can anyone help me if my room floor can withstand a 100g tank, the floor is a wood parquet and beneath it is plywoods we are at the 4th floor thankyou very much! ? I have a 55g at the moment and there's no problem with the 55g

I think it would depend on the construction of your house and which way the sub-floor joists are running. Your parquet floor should be fine, it's the sub-floor I would be concerned about. I have a 112 gallon and it sits perpendicular to the floor joists below in the crawl space. I also braced the floor joists with a beam and 4 x 4 posts all along the section on which the aquarium sits. My aquarium is also starfire glass which is very heavy. Acrylic tanks are quite a bit lighter in comparison. Positioning the aquarium close to the wall and perpendicular to the joists will help.

This is the first key. But, hard to determine for some laymen. Learning to determine load bearing wall will help.
Thankyou guys it's my first tank I'd like to upgrade to a 200 or a 300 but for sure my flooring couldn't take it damn ? thankyou btw, who knew fish keeping could be so addicting ?

It really can be addicting! Generally, anything more than a 75 takes some planning or previous experience to get up and running well. I honestly think a 55 is a sweet spot between lower maintenance and getting up and running easily. You mention 4th floor. Apartment building? Codes vary, apartments can be (can...not always are) more forgiving. You may be able to get some info from owners.

I am in planning for a 300ish myself. I'll literally be adding floor supports and another header in my basement to be ultra safe. That, and cutting the floor for an emergency drain, sump in basement, drip system, and on and on. The big thing for me is bigger is less maintenance. I ran up to 10 tanks at a time before...I think I'll enjoy one big one more.

You're welcome and good luck! It is an addiction for sure! I've got a 75 sitting on my basement floor ready for my next build. That will be #6 :uhoh:

Sounds like a cool system mnloki! I'd love to have clearance from my wife to cut into the floor and walls for a auto-change system. That would make life so much easier.

I'm building and planning overkill. No one to ask permission of ;) Drip system is a minor hole. Sump, not too bad...but emergency drain is I am guessinga 3 inch hold in floor. I also have water sensors for leaks (smarthome) I may use.
