For Sale 1000 gallon system (not mine )

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That tank has been for sale a few years now. I’m thinking the seller is not negotiable.

It's wonderful until you have to start wiping the inside of the 6.5' deep acrylic panels every week. I'd predict the rosy glow would wear off quickly for DIY-ers.

From experience, I find that I have to get inside my 4500 gal tanks to wipe down 4' deep acrylic windows:

It’s well worth the work. Both of my tanks are 4’ tall and l love it man! The taller, the better. I hope to find a larger home in the near future with plenty of space for a MASSSIVE fish tank ?

I admire your enthusiasm ... but if I had to guess you wipe glass panels with a magfloat or some such easy way out.

Well, regardless, I've no guts to use a magfloat on acrylic ... plus when you have bigger fish they will easily knock it off or even risk swallowing it, like RTC are known for instance.

I thought I'd also point out that 6.5' is much, much harder to clean than 4' even from the inside of the tank unless one uses scuba and weighs themselves down with weights. When one floats in the water with nothing to hang on to, it is impossible to put pressure on the surface one is wiping.

Forgot to mention that an easier way would be using a large suction cup.

Yup, been using that method for 30 years now ??
On glass, right? Not acrylic?
