I got a 100G tall with a salvini, FM, JD, Nicaraguan and 4 silver dollars and wondering what peeps thoughts were wether there was room for some giant danios? Or any suggestions on a top column schooling fish with a smaller bio load. Thanks!

what are the dimensions of it? but yeah danios dont really make that much waste so i wouldnt see it being an issue, though the JD may eventually catch them and make them dinner but bio load wise it should be fine as long as you keep up with water changes (which you will have to do anyways with that stocking) hatchet fish are a cool unusual fish that stay right at the top but they are slower and will most likely become dinner....

My JD atm is 4". I have never fed him live food so atm he may not even know to get them. I am hoping to find atleast 2" + for sale so they wont even be able to fit in any of my fish's mouths. Thanks for the imput!

yeah np and you dont have to necessarily feed live for them to go after them, i have never fed my gold dempseys live food, and i just added a small geo i was growing out to the tank and the female is still trying to go after him, and she is not even big enough to eat him outright, she is about 4.5in and he is 2in or so, and thats a geo, granted its probably because he is hanging out at the top acting like prey but yeah just to give you an idea about the predatory nature of the cichlids we keep, they will naturally go after a fish they deem small enough whether ever fed live food or not, but danios are pretty fast so hopefully will be ok

Cool, Yah I remember reading that danios make great dithers for cichlids because of their speed. They are so pretty too, love the blues and oranges along with the pristine silver to them.

Cool, I ended up getting 6 giant danios! They look amazing! Bring my cichlids out more and more too as there are silvers in the middle water column and now the danios in the top. Awesome Awesome Awesome!
