In this thread i will send weekly updates every Saturday, starting this next one.

Tank info:
100g/400L
Filteration: Rena XP3. Juwel Rio 1000 pump and filters.
Final Setup: 1 fish tank.
I feed: Ocean Nutrition, New Life Spectrum.

Story:
It all started 22. March 2009 by me buying 5 Jaguar juviniles about 1" long. They where a bit stressed at first but i got them eating well in 2 days. They started too show some aggression after about 5-6 days, nothing much ofcourse, but a little chasing here and there and a little nipping.
Friday. 3. april i added a beautiful Jack Dempsey at 3", he has always been kind of passive. I also added a 3" Firemouth male, he has since then been my favorite fish and has a mouthful of caracter, a glassbanger and in the first place of the picking order, but i know that will change when the Jags get some size.
Saturday 11. april i added a pictus catfish to do some cleaning, unfortunetly he is the least active pictus i have ever seen, just lies under the filter all day long, but he is always ready to eat.
15. May i added a 1" GT, he is extremely aggressive and maybe a Silver saum.
Nothing has changed since then but the fish have gotten a little bigger.

Plan and Purpous:
I am planning on a 1 fish tank, i am getting some more species and selling 3 of the 5 Jags and keep the 2 bigger ones, i am also getting rid of the dempsey soon because i have to make room for 3 new soon arriving cichlids. I will pick my favorite fish and keep it alone in the tank.

Pics since i first got the fish.

Good looking Dempsey, I would keep him.
I am still thinking on that one.

UPDATE 1 (06/07/09)

Well the 3 coming arrivals did not arrive so i am just gonna get something else instead. 3 Wild Cought T. Ellioti about 6" were really tempting but i dont think they will fit in.

I changed the gravel in the tank from light brown sand too grey-black gravel. I also added two plants: Nomaphila Stricta and Echinodorus 'Paul Klöcker' and they are doing fine.

Now lets talk serious. The two biggest Jags are about 4" and constantly flaring at each other though no lip locking suprisingly. I dont know if they are two males that HATE each other or they are a possible pair that is just flaring at each other as pairs often do. I took a picture of theyre vents as i dont know how to vent and was hoping if you guys could help me venting these guys.

Pics, you guys know the names:

And now the sexing, first a few pics of the 2 biggest jags, then the vents of them.

i'd say that the jags are a little too small to sex and i can't tell from the vent pics posted.
