any one

i need the dementions of a fluval 405 and an fx5 so i can make the shelf

I think you should put the 2x4 verticule directly under the 2x4 horizontal for stability. This way the weight is applied directly to the 2x4s. Right now it looks like the screws will be supporting the weight of the tank. Here is a few pics of how I built mine.

Good luck which ever way you decide.

Looks good. I don't think a 102g tank will weigh enough to shear steel screws, especially when the weight will be spread apart what looks like 16 screws.

i will post more pics 2marrow im putin my african cichlids in the tank

My stand is for 108 gallon. I wouldn't put close on 1000 lbs on 16 screws and hope it works. However I am no expert.

The stand that this person has built may be perfect for the 102 gallon.

I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't loose my tank and 108 gallons of water on my floor.

There are a lot of people on this site with a lot more knowledge than I have. I hope they will give there honest opinion and advice.

Good luck. I hope it works out. I look forward to seeing some pics when it is done.
