I just picked up a 105 Gallon tank complete on ebay. Looking to start an aggressive cichlid tank. I have not picked the tank up yet, but it currently houses 11 cichlids. The most aggressive being a green terror. I will have to tear down the tank and move it across town to where I live and then put it back together. I plan to keep some water from the tank as well as the filter material and substrate to keep the tank from cycling. Most will be maybe a mini cycle. I thinking some of the fish may not make the trip, and would like to add to it. Was looking at around 10 fish when I have it setup how I want it. Now, what 10 would you suggest to make a full, but aggressive tank? :feedback:

Hope the terror makes it, good start.

Well, wife wants 10. I would be happy with 5 larger fish. Was thinking of a RD but not much I could put in the tank with it. Maybe a Tiger Oscar with some convicts. The 11 that come with the tank are lemon Yellows, Electric Blues, Bumble Bee's, Green Terror, Mixed Cichlid, Chipoke, and a algae eater.

that's a perfect aggressive tank already... and a very fun tank to watch. Maybe swap out the yellow labs for a convict or a jewel or a kenyi.

get an african pike haha

I got them home last night. They made it through a 45 min truck ride in a 20 gallon rubbermaid bin. They were very happy when I got the tank set back up and put them back in it last night. They were all still doing well this morning. I think they might all make it. I was a little worried about one of the bumble bees. He wasn't moving when I caught him in the net to put back in the tank. As soon as he wasin, he was all better.

take out the yellow labs and put in some ob peacock cichlids in and maybe a Leporinus fasciatus or a Rineloricaria sp (L-10A)

YAY!

the tank sounds like a nice one already. if you want to add to it remember cichlid tanks are all about power balance. large peacock cicilids would be good as long as they are bigger than the rest of your fish
