I have a 10g tank sitting around, and I really want to do something with it. I want something that is easy to take care of, something that eat crickets would be fun. Anybody have any ideas.

This is a guess on my part.. but would a pacman frog work? should be relatively low maintenance and easy to care for...

10G is pretty small for most exotics. Some people suggest it as a minimum tank size for a pacman frog or anole, but bigger is always better. It would be better suited to inverts, such as tarantulas, scorpions or praying mantids.

Have you kept anything that eats crickets before? It's cool to start with, but once those jumpy little buggers end up all around the house and keeping you awake at night it starts to lose its appeal!

Best,
Paul

Since you want crickets, how about green snake? Can have alot of fun designing a sweet enclosure

Yea. Inverts would be a better option. I should think a green snake deserves a larger enclosure LP, though they could live comfortably in this one.

i agree...i have had to deal with them for about seven years and im only 12, i now refer to them as chirping demons

A 10 is more than suitable for a green. Bigger is better but 10 is plenty

What about viper geckos? They're tiny and eat crickets.

I approve of the username, btw!

Lots of insect eaters can live in a 10 and be fine. Green snake is a good one, panther gecko, long tail lizards, fire belly toads, most bufo sp. toads, Tarantulas and scorpions, Most desert geckos like knobtails and dune geckos would be fine. If you don't mind dealing with humidity needs then emerald swifts and Frogs like chubby and Maybe a tomato would be ok. There's lots that can be done in a 10 you just have to make sure you can handle the maintenance, a little lizard will get a 10 dirty a lot faster than a 15 or 20. I had some canyon lizards in a 10 and they tried breeding, do they must have been happy enough with it.
