I'm at our Hamilton Bermuda office this week. Our company installed this tank while the building was going up. I'm going backstage tomorrow to look at the mechanics - Stuart the fish guy has done an amazing job setting this up. There are two divers that go in to clean once a week. They can swim pretty freely between the reef and the glass. It's illegal to import saltwater fish to Bermuda. All of these guys were net caught locally.IMG_0165.JPG IMG_0166.JPG IMG_0164.JPG IMG_0163.JPG

Nice tank but hard to believe there is spaces for diver to get in and clean the tank hahaha
It's not an offend or question about that, it's show how picture don't do any justice :)

Will do - I think the curved tank creates the illusion that there is no space but from above I'd say it's about 3'. The divers go in with air hoses attached to a pump above - i.e. No tanks - and can move around pretty easily.

Btw - if anyone is near Liverpool Street Station in London, there is an amazing rectangular tank in the lobby of the new building across the street from the station. Im going to guess that it is close to 40k gallons and 3 stories tall. I didn't get pics last time but I'll be back in January.

I will. Took some from my last visit but had to wipe my phone and lost them. There are a limited number of suppliers on island so Stuart has had to improvise a lot. At the same time he has had to plan for the occasional hurricane and power outage....

Wild tank but the maintenance must be a nightmare. Those types of tanks always intrigued me until I thought logistically about the maintenance.
