ok heres a 40g breeder (yes i know its filthy) with both a marineland single bright LED 24" and 2 10W LED floodlights from ledwholesalers in 6000k. one note, the floodlights dont come with a plug, but after a little research, its easy and cheap. go to hardware store and pick up the plugs, look up european wiring colors since they arent traditional red black and white, and put them together.
1st pic is floodlights
2nd pic is the plugs i used
3rd pic is just marineland
4th pic is just floodlight
5th pic is both of them

this was just a test to see how they looked and how bright they are. let me say im impressed they give a very natural light and 2 of these blow the marineland out of the water. i spent less than 70 for 2 of these shipped and will be ordering about 4 more of these for a 500g im building. dont get me wrong when i bought the marineland i was in love, but it just cant match these

and yes the cat will be moving soon and the lights are nowhere near the center of the tank but hopefully this gives you an idea

ledwholesalers from amazon. very quick shipping and i heard they ship wrong colors, but they got mine correct. it took 2 days for them to arrive

Would you mind posting a link to the lights you bought? I would like to try a couple.

I tried a couple of different screw in LED floods with mixed results. I did not like the color temp and the beam pattern was too narrow. Are you happy with your lights in regards to beam and color?

nice! Those marinelands are garbage for the amount of money they cost ;)

i am impressed with the natural color and power of these for like 35 bucks they are great. check ebay or amazon for 10w led floodlight and these are what show up. you will def need a bunch for a big tank, id say 1 will cover about 18"x18" area roughly. also this is a short tank and i would only use 2 on a 55g. anything bigger, you will need much more. i might try the 30w version next. im looking for a low light mostly center spotlight effect on my big tank im building and i think i will order a 30W to go with these

30watt version is 500.00 Whoa unless I am looking at it wrong, I have thought about these for a while your the second person to do a setup with them.
