10x Filtration with canister?

I could understand if 10x turnover is suggested with power filters, but there is so much more media in a canister so I'm wondering if it applies to canisters too.

I don't follow the 10x turnover for sumps always. It depends on the stock. For canisters anywhere from 2-6x turnover works fine, it just depends on the fish you keep.

i have two 350gph biowheels and a 200gph canister filter. i fill the canister filter with mech media and use the biowheels for chem and bio
