The area behind our garage is going to be for a pond, garden for my uromastyx's food, and possibly a tortoise pen... For a pond that is roughly 10x4x4 foot, what fish would you guys suggest? The size can go up by a bit, if I see a fish that needs a larger pond that really interests me.. This is going to be in Tx, so nothing that is illegal here. Filtration etc will be decided based on the proposed fish.

Arrowana ? Big cats , bass the list is big to be fair in a pond that size , lucky you im a bit stuck for space atm :D

we were thinking arowana, rtc/tiger shovelnose hybrid, oscars, cichlids... I meant to put that in an edid to my original post, but it didnt work... Would peacock bass work?

Yer PCB work in big ponds I've never kept them personally but know people who do , I keep aros , cats cichlids etc you've got to have an aro in there :D , I try to keep more rare cats now rather than rtc or tsn but would defo have them if I had more space

Yeah... I just wish i could have rays :/ My brother thinks a bichir could work in a pond with the above mentioned fish... What do you guys think? I think he'll be eaten

I really want a ray but i don't my jardini not to smash it up he's evil , I have managed to keep hold of a birchir my aro seems to leave him alone and he's eaten loads over the years inc wolf fish but the birchir gets left for some strange reason and he's defo snack sized , you may get lucky with couple in your pond if you give them few pipes to hide in , reckon rtc or tsn will eat them though

Thats what I was thinking. Sorry i forgot about this thread -.-
