Ive seen them as low as $5.99 but you cannot tell how the pattern or coloring will turn out when mature.

Depends on the quality, if its in a local store then chances are its very low quality. But for local store quality its a good price, in Oregon they would cost between $20-30.

You should know around 4" but with real quality you can tell even smaller than that.

You're better off finding a breeder. It won't be much cheaper but you'll know what the parents look like
