So im planning on making a 11'x3'x3' tank and it hard to find 11' piece of acrylic. I was talkin to a guy about him making custom tanks and he said that you should just use 5.5' pieces with a cross bar. How do you make this cross bar? What materials do I use for it, metal? Ive never built a tank so im kinda in the dark about the whole process.

I know ill need
2-3'x3' pieces
6-5.5'x3' pieces
Plus a lid

if you are making it out of wood just cut to hole in the front instead of one big one.

I dont follow. Wood for what the piece to go over the middle? And what hole?

let me interpret, if you are making a plywood tank, cut two holes in the front for viewing , these can be 5.5 feet each instead of on 11 foot piece
