Stocking Ideas for a 110. I have a 110, 60.5" long, 16.5" wide, 25.5" tall. Husband likes monster fish. I like oddballs. I also like interesting behaviors. This is my 16th tank, so I am not a beginner to aquariums - FYI. I normally have smaller fish communities and want to do something larger in this tank with a mix of a few different species. What do you suggest? Thank you.

Smaller species of Polypterus would be my suggestion for Oddballs for that size aquarium. Check them out and see if you like them.

Here are some ideas
African leaf fish (ctenopoma auc-something)
African butterfly fish
synodontis eupterus
congo tetras
Senegal bichirs
Maybe an elephant nose, I don’t have any experience with them so I’m not sure.
Brown african knifefish
It’s african themed

Gold fish tank?

You could do a cichlid tank. Severums come to mind but they’re a bit of a toss up for if you’ll get a peaceful one or aggressive one. Giant kribs wouldn’t be bad. Angelfish tank would be nice especially if you planted it. Discus tank would also be nice if planted.

You could make it a junk tank with no theme, my personal favorite way of stocking a tank, and just basically put random fish in. A severum here, a spiny monster pleco there, a school of tetras maybe, and a big group of african butterfly fish perhaps.

Thanks. This is actually something I have thought of doing for a few years.

I am still considering the above suggestions. I do also like the crenicichla species. Some are very beautiful, but probably too large for my set-up long term. Do you know of any I could research that would work for me? I've been trying to do research on my own, but this always helps it go faster. I do like the sp belly crawlers and would be open to tank around them as well, if you have any tank mate suggestions. Since they are riverine species, I would need some riverine species suggestions to cohabit the tank with them. I also like the red tiger motas, but feel they may need to be by themselves, which is fine. But are they active and interesting enough? Anyone kept them and did you enjoy them? Are there any other species of more aggressive or predatory fish that I could research that would work well in my set-up and be interesting? Thank you.

You could get crenicichla regani as these guys are small and you could keep more than 1. A stock that might work for a community could be:
Regani dwarf pike cichlids(pair or pairs)
Columbian tetras(school)
Some kind of corys(school)
Bristlenose plecos or 1 larger fancier pleco
Hatchet fish(school)
German blue rams cichlids(group)
Bleeding heart tetras or diamond tetras(school)
Jurupari earth eater cichlid or a black ghost knifefish? as a center piece fish
i don't know if this would work or not. I don't know if this tank is big enough for a black ghost knifefish though.

I think that's too many smaller fish for what I have in my head. Reganis are pretty, though. I have cories in another tank and don't want to repeat. Hate me, but I think plecos are so ugly. I can't bring myself to own one. I'm gonna get slaughtered for saying that.
