Hey guys, I want to say thanks for the suggestions that you guys made for me in the Indoor Pond Section about my indoor pond. Since some of you suggested going local, I think why not. I want some koi in the pond however, so here's the proposed stocklist for my 1102 gallon pond for now. I am still open to suggestions and I ask that the mods close my other thread here.

Here are the fish that I intend to put in the pond.

6 - 7 Koi
A school of 6 -8 Tinfoil Barb
A School of 6 - 8 Java Barb
1 -2 Giant Gourami
1 - 2 Iridiscent Shark
1 Clown Knife Fish

I am still open for more suggestions on tweaking this list.

Koi are coldwater nd they poop alot... Reconsider before buying them...

QUite true... but I live in a tropical area and a lot of people has make it work, not to mention I have quite a good filtration system so I should be alright.

A good suggestion, but its a bit out of my budget.... aros are expensive, even for silver ones.

Thank you for your suggestions, and please keep those suggestions coming.

1100 gallon is still too small for that amount of koi..

What do you guys mean? How many gallons do you need for koi anyway? Because I read everywhere there are different info on different sites.

1100 would be enough for an indoor pond, but 6-7 koi would be too much. I'd do max. 4, especially since you also plan on tinfoil barbs which have a huge bioload, too.

Actually after talking to some friends over here, I made some slight changes to my pond list.... with some input from my wife of course. She wants 8 Koi.... so This is my revised stocking list for now. Do you guys have any suggestions? Btw there would be a waterfall there to help with the aeration of the pond as well, and I read in this site that you can calculate the amount of fish or koi you have in a pond.

8 Koi

For a larger amount of Koi, I would consider an outside pond! Living in Indonesia, you wouldn't have problems with other tropical fish either.

If you can't do an outdoor, because you have no garden etc. I would go for 6 koi and 2 ID sharks with really, really good filtration. Of course you could leave the ID's away and get 1 more koi instead, but the ID sharks will liven up the mix.
