Hi guys, I currently have an unused fish pond... not planning to put any fish in for now, but maybe will in the future.... Here are the measurements. 304 cm x 197 cm x 70 cm... which translates to 4192 liters of water... which is around 1102 US gallons of water. I am planning to have some koi in there, but I also want to know what kinds of other fish that can co exist with koi and not harm them or view them as food?

Any suggestions? And How many koi should I get for an indoor pond this big?

If I were you, I would ditch the koi and go for predarors instead.. Those dimensions are ideal for larger catfish, pbass, aros etc. :)

Ahhhh I see.... thanks for the input.... any other suggestions guys? Oh yeah, lets say I do go for that route.... what larger catfish would you recommend? And should I put a fence around it so that children won't fall in? Because of watching river monsters I am worried about keeping any large cats... are there any child-safe large cats or fishes out there?

If you go with some sweet koi you could keep some cats such ass bullheads and channels which are sweet, if you choose to go more tropical you could do some cichlas with some Niger cats/ripsaw cats/giraffe cats since they have small mouths, with a pond that size you have nice options:)

around 10 koi... u can't keep anyother tropical species with koi... try comet or common goldfish...
blackmoor goldfish from topview imagine that... but u cant keep them with koi, its eyes cause it to have poor vision so it is not a good competitor for food...

koi with albino catfish
