So, after some research and measuring, I found out the tank I've got is 110g. It's not setup yet or anything, but I'd like to start thinking of a stock list for it. I currently have an ABK, a Sen. Bichir, a golden wonder killie and an Ompock catfish which will definitely go in the new tank. I also have a common pleco which was a recent rescue I'd like to put in there.

Aside from these, what other fish do you guys think I can put in the tank? I'm leaning towards other Knife and Bichirs, but I know some don't get along with others. Also, what are your ideas on the pleco in there? All the forums I've read are about 50-50 on it!

Thanks,

Kash

no plecos since they will eat the slime off the bichir.

I guess the pleco can be housed somewhere else.
I've read on some threads about people keeping ABK and BGK together with no issues. Is this the norm, or do you guys think it was just lucky they got along? I know even with the most docile fish there's always a chance they won't get along with another fish, but are my odds of keeping those two together good or bad?

Just picked up two clown loaches at the LFS. Hoping they can take care of my snail problem and eventually be moved to the 110g with everyone else.

Here's a question I hope somebody can answer. I now have a Sen. Bichir, a Brown African Knife, and Ompock catfish and two Clown Loaches. I'm definitely getting two more Sen. Bichirs and probably one Del at some point in the future. I know loaches are schooling fish. Would by 110g be too cramped if I add 1-3 more clown loaches to it? I've only ever had one large fish and that was my 14" common pleco. Everything else has been under 6" and I'm having a hard time visualizing a bunch of 10"+ fish in a tank!

I was also thinking about adding a Black Ghost Knife, to be moved to a different tank if aggression issues started, but am willing to give the idea up to make my other fish more comfortable. What do you guys think?

I think my wife will kill me if I get a bigger tank. So far, the only reason I managed to convince her to let me get the 110g was because I blamed her for getting my brown knife and sen bichir without any research and told her they needed a lot of room to swim around in!

I'll definitely look into the other ones though. Thanks!

I don't know about brown knife fish but clown knife fish and ghost knives get huge. I have a 135 gal with a clown knife, a bala shark, 3 pink tails, and a payara in it and I'd say that's really too small of a tank for the knife. They grow fairly rapidly, perhaps 8"-12" a year.
