this guy eats anything, krill, shrimp, beefheart, and the occasional goldfish :) you won't be disaapointed wih this fish...very beautiful...i believe it is from Rio Tocantins.
 
Nice Tem Vince but I don't think that is a Rio Tocatins Temensis. I have a Rio Tocatins Tem and it is the one refered to as the Cichla sp. Lower amazonas. That looks like the tems that are are farm raised. In fact looks like the other 4 tems I have. not sure where they are from Venezuela I think? I may be wrong. though.

Bump for an awesome fish nonetheless.
 
In the upper part of the Rio Tocantins there are true tems. The "lower amazons" come for the lower part as in the name. There are a few upper Tocantins tems floatin' around...
