12" Afrowanna

Hey everyone, I have a 12" afrowanna coming on Wednesday and I'm just wondering who has kept them and what kind of experiences people have had. Feeding aggression behavior ect. His mates are going to be a 6" frankie Dorado an ornate birchir an endli birchir some regular SDs and some tiger SDs and eventually a vaft once it's big enough.

My afro never bothered any tankmates other than other afros. Kept mine with polys, trop gars, dats, albino irr sharks, and an AUL.
When I got him at 2"


A few years later at 3ft+




Have fun with yours. Definitely a centerpiece species that's always on the move.

What kind of growth rate did you see oddball?

Foot+ a year the first couple of years. The third foot took nearly another 2 years.

nice fish and tank set up..i had them before pretty active fish.
