If someone out there can give him a better home than I can, I'm willing to give this fish up.

This guy is a real survivor - he lived through being nearly eaten by a datnoid and later an oxygenation crisis that killed several other fish. He's 12-14" now and kind of temperamental. Sometimes he's fine but other times he's mean. If you have a tank full of dithers or similar looking fish (ie a bunch of dats) he can be tricked into being peaceful and is a great fish. Very smart and interesting.

I can deliver him to the GCCA swap saturday in Schaumburg. Otherwise come and get him off Belmont Ave and Halsted in Chicago.

If you can find a local on here that knows how to ship (I am pretty sure there are a few) I'd be happy to deliver him to them. I've never done it and don't trust myself to do it right.

I do still firmly believe that he is a great fish, and I think his recent behavior was caused by an external factor... but the results of it mean I just don't know if I can ever come to like him again.

Damn. Now I'm starting to see signs that it wasn't actually him. I'll still give him away to someone who can give him a good home, though, since he is really unhappy right now being partitioned off.
