120-125 discus

Hello MFK I'm lookin at setting either size for discus(possibly with tabk mates idk) and i wanted to pick the brains of the discus keepers here .

Bare bottom? Vs planted?
What kinda water movement?
Filtration?
Decor?

I wanna make it the best for the fish

I think discus would prefer the 125 because of the length. Since discus and angels are taller and thinner in shape, they can move freely between plants and would feel more comfortable in a planted tank. And think these guys prefer calmer water, but I think a power head with a little flow would be good. As long as you can keep the nitrates 20> they will be healthy.
