Making the jump to a 120 g. for my now 10" male Dovii. A little extra space would be nice for him. I keep a small but super colorful GT in a 45 g. I decided He'd be a lot happier in the 90, with a few others, and possibly a female. Probably giving the 45 to my nephew, as he is a fan of Africans. I realize the 120 still may be cramped down the road. There are approximately 10 fish stores in a 20 mile radius near me, so swapping or finding new or used tanks isn't that difficult. Had a quick question on substrate? Is sand ok, for Larger cichlids? I know they (Dovii) dig a lot, or should I stick with plain gravel for the 120?

I would go with gravel.....What are the stores in your area?....I may want to check them out at state fair time.....

I'd like to post pics, but I'm horrible when it comes to apps on phones, pic's, and computers. I have an Iphone, but honestly have no clue how to transfer pics to this site!?! Would if I could. FishNatics is a great new store near me, Minoa area. Jamesville Aquarium is about 5 miles from me too. We also have the regular Petco's, and other big name fish and pet stores within a 10 mile radius. FishNatics is one of those really cool fish only stores that can and will order anything, always have new fish available week to week, and have tons of re-furbished used stuff in house. They are literally less than a mile from me, and on my way home from work as well. You know it's a cool store when the sign out front reads "Live Nude Fish!"
