I am getting a 4x2x2 120 and want it to be a cichlid tank, I like Oscars and jack Dempsey's and it would be nice if one of them was included but don't mind too much if their not. Do you have any suggestions?

You could get away with one of each in there, get some good filtration.

You could do an Oscar and jack Dempsey, and could probably get away with a severum or chocolate cichlid as well, something peaceful (ish). Keep in mind large cichlids are pretty messy, and the more you add, the more you will have to keep up with on water changes. Also, whether or not this stocking will work depends on the personality of your individual fish: you may get lucky, or you may not.
I think Oscar, JD, severum/Chocolate has a good chance of working. Goldsaum/Green terror is a possibility as well but a little bit riskier.

Ok, if I scraped the oscar and jack dempsey what could I get in there, I like the chocolate cichlid an do would want one of them

Plenty of options, I think for a four foot if you want a cichlid community you should stay with less aggressive species. Severums, chocolates like I already mentioned are pretty good fish for this size tank. Geophagus are great as well. Guianacara species, blue acaras, angelfish, festivums are all good choices. I would pick your favorites and go with a mix of these along with a school of tetras.

When dealing with big cichlids like oscars and JDs in 4 feet of space, it's a toss up if it will work or fail. Big cichlids like to defend 4 feet of space at a minimum. Things change over time, so be prepared to rehome fish months or years later.

I have a 4x2 and run an fx4 and a small internal, the current stock is a 8 inch chocolate cichlid, 6 inch jack depsey, 5 inch green terror, 4 inch salvini, 3 inch texas, 3 inch lyonsi and 2 inch sajica. They are near fin perfect. Minimum aggression since i have had them (about 6 months). Granted i know i will need to thin the stock out over time but i have been very lucky with the lack of aggression so far.

I would like a stock like that but I don't think I will be that lucky, the last jd I had killed 3 silver dollars a couple hours after I got him
