I normally do not run a heater on my 120 gallon, however I am trying to treat a bluegill that has ICK. Any suggestions on a good heater(s) that would work to get temperature near 90 degrees. I would prefer to buy just one heater, but will do two if that works better. Any brand names would be appreciated, specifically if they are available through amazon.

-Thanks

What does the ambient temp of the room the tank is in run? If it's ~70F and you want to get to ~90F, you'll probably need two 300 watt units.

To me, all brand names are good. They'll last if you unplug them during every water change and always keep the dial-end out of the water. They're all "submersible", but i've always wound up with water in them eventually when kept this way.

Thanks, just ordered two Aqueon 300 Watt heaters, should be arriving tomorrow. Sweet avatar haha

I have the exact opposite experience, I moved the dial end of one of my units out of the water and 2 days later it blew up, no other unit so far has done it.
