So this is my first time posting, and I would really appreciate help deciding which fish to get! Right now I have a bristlenose pleco ~1", a green terror ~ 2", and a jaguar cichlid ~1.5". After they reach about 5 inches or they get too aggressive, which ever comes first, I will put them in a 120 gallon high tank. The dimensions of which are 4 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot. Are these the only fish I could keep? I would like some other larger cichlids, like a JD, festae, or buttikoferi. Could I do the butti and a jd? Or is the jaguar and green terror about it?

Thank you for your help

Can't speak for the jag cuz I don't have any experience with them but I feel like you could add another fish or 2. I know nothing about butti but I think a JD or festae would work.

What a about any other bigger cichlids, oscars, red devils, and the likes?

If you want to keep more than one fish I suggest you get rid of the jag. it will become highly aggressive and will most likely not let any other fish live in the 120, including the pleco.

If you keep the gt you will be able to add other fish, but not a butti and a festae. Again both can become really aggressive and the butti will get huge.

Other common cichlids that could share a tank that size with the gt would be:
Oscar
Severums
Convicts
Firemouth
JD
Acaras

Really wouldn't change the stocking options. Butti, RD, midas, jag, and festae are highly aggressive and are normally kept solo or in breeding pairs.

Op welsher is spot on.

Before you follow anyones advice about adding a fish to your tank. Use the search function and see what experiences other members have had with a given fish. You never know what level of experience the advice is coming from
