What do you guys think of a 120g tank with 1 Green Texas, 1 Convict, 1 King Kong Blood Parrot and 3 Silver Dollars. Thanks

that should be fine, i would actually add in a couple more silver dollars to make it a proper school of 5-6, just make sure they are regular silver dollars and not the red hook ones

Agreed! Should work fine.

should be fine, but like sarah88 said don't use red hook silver dollars because they get a little bigger.......but look so much better imo lol

thanks guys, would you go with the Green Texas, or the Reg. Texas (kinda of a toss up with looks), and how are the Texas personality, are they out going or shy.

i would go with a carpintis if your going to have it with a blood parrot, cyanos (true texas) are more aggressive and may take advantage of the less agile hybrid, though aren't the king kong ones not as deformed and can use their mouths? so maybe he would be ok, and theres plenty of room i guess you could try both and grow them out and the just keep the ones that get along better, thats usually what i do when trying to get aggressive cichlids to cohabitate

and both carpintis and cyanos are fairly outgoing, you cant go wrong with either IMO but i like the vibrant blues of the carpintis better, especially the vontehillo variant, but the cyanos are really nice as well and get to a slightly larger size
