I am setting up a 120 gallon ( 61" x 18.5" x 30" I think, but ball park) going to use a fluval fx5 canister. I cant decide how I want to stock it, I have been keeping ca/ sa cichlids for a few years, but I think I want to go in a different direction. Maybe a rainbow hi fin wolf fish, I know it's to small for a gar but something as the center piece and than some other fish as background. I wanted to get some opinions and ideas?

Not much comes to mind other than piranhas...I've seen big solitary Rhom's kept with smaller "background" fish like neon tetras.

the bichirs sound like a good idea, while you might not be able to get gar, have you considered anything like a hujeta or needle nose? They like to school and may meet your center piece idea

I have an over stock 120g. 12" Frt turtle, two 10" datnoids, 6" red severum, 4 clown loaches and 12" jardini

Only got 2 eheim 2217. waterchange once or twice a week. Feeding every other day or two days
