Hey guys, I recently picked up a 4x2x2 120 gallon amd I was wondering of this stock is ok

1 tiger oscar
1 endlicheri Bichir
1 senegal bichir (have not fully decided if I want to keep it with the 2 above)

Thanks in advance.

4x2x2 doesn't seem like enough room for a full grown Tiger Oscar to swim around freely. Then again there is a video on YouTube of a full grown Oscar in a 10gallon, so I would think your Oscar would be slightly better off in 120g's.

A four foot tank isn't optimum for an adult Oscar, but a standard 120 gallon is wide.

Hardscape the tank with the high spot near the center.
This should encourage the Oscar to swim in a circle around the obstacle, rather than end to end, taking advantage of the depth of the tank.

120 gal is plenty of space to grow out oscars around 2-3”. By the time they grow out to max size people have the option to upgrade their tank or rehome their fish. Many LFS will take the larger ocsar and you can repeat the cycle.

I'm probably going to go with a 5x2x2 and add a zebrina pike
