60 inches available for max height

Tank height is 24 inches
Tank width is 18 inches
Tank length is 60 inches
Gives us 36 inches of room for stand and canopy.

Things needed to do
figure out plumbing
-build a new stand
have opening doors preferably 4 doors that open in the middle making two access points
-Set up sump
-filter sock on one side, scrubbies and bio material on the other side.

Substrate: Tahitian moon sand

Lighting: 4 foot hamilton power compact lighting (2x daylight, 2x blue)

Planting: duckweed ( or a floating plant, main goal is to restrict light)
Other small plants that can go with the look of my tank that require no special attention

Stocking: I am wanting suggestions here
So far I currently have:
2x convict (mating pair) this is the only pair that I will for sure keep everything else is open for home replacement
2x pleco
1x jack dempsey
2x blue whale
4x crayfish

I would like to know exact steps to plumbing my tank.
- want to put a spray bar with a ball valve on it that will circulate my substrate when I turn it on. This will run along the bottom walls.

Drilling of the tank will need to be something like this, let me know what you think it will go from left to right of the tank

At 1.5 inches from the top left corner of the tank there will be an overflow

In the mid left of the tank there will be a return line at 3 inches from top of glass

In the middle of the tank at .75 inches. Will be the emergency drain.

At the middle right of the tank, there will be another return at 3 inches from the top of the glass
At the top right, there will be another overflow at 1.5 inches from the top of the glass

Any suggestions would be appreciated

My sump has two boxes for bio media/ filter socks on opposite ends of eachother I will upload a pic tomorrow as I am picking it up then.

1 side will have the filter sock 1 side will have bio media. The middle will most likely be filled with plants( tips needed)
Bubble strips will be placed in here as well as my heaters.

Please help me with plumbing ideas and written instructions with a visual aid perhaps?

I realize there will be or are problems with my goals but thats why I am posting here to get information and ideas.

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks.

water is still cloudy, but all fish other than the convicts and their fry will be stored in the bin, heater, bio media, air wand, and live plants are in the tank as well as substrate and lava rock. they should be fine.

picture of my convicts, you cant see them but they are doing fine and water is at 80 degrees, the filter is more than enough for the tank. i know its small but for the time being this is my only option.

not sure you need to stir the sand if you plan on having crayfish, they are constantly excavating and moving the sand around

I am also debating duckweed, anyone got any recommendations here?

yeah thats what i was thinking, i was only going to do it as more of a luxury but with the configuration of the plumbing it will be more difficult that expected.

thanks

i washed some of the sand

here is the wet dry, it has a pretty neat design. i will be putting filter socks under the bio balls. and my heater, bubble wand, and plants will be located in it also.

this is the pump, it is submersible, about 1100-1200 gph. this is with the plumbing on it to lead to a pvc piping.
