In maybe about a year or so i plan on having my 120 (48x24x24) tank cleard out of all my cichlids and move them into a larger tank and i've been looving as some freshwater stingray tanks with bare bottom or just a little bit or some fine sand substrate. I've seen some pbass in with the rays as well. Could i possibly put like one or two rays in there with umm 2 P.bass? I'm thinking of moto rays. Any one have any info on how to keep them or pictures of you setups. Thanks

what size would i need minimum

Motoro's get fairly large and grow fast, so min should be 72"Lx36"Wx24"H. But with the P. Bass from what I am told they need a fairly large tank too and it might not be a good idea keeping the two together, I would ask to see if someone else here has keep the two together before.

The 120 would be ok for some reticulated rays, which usually only max out around 12-14" across. Motoro's can reach two feet in width. The 120 would be fine to grow out motoro pups, which can reach 12" in a year. As they get bigger, I agree with Gumby that a 72" x 36" x 24" tank would be minimum for an adult pair. As for Pbass..... I've not kept them before. Not sure if they would be ok with rays.

last guy i saw here on mfk had some pbass with his motoro, the motoro got beat up. i dunno i i'd mix them unless everyone was young. and i think the 120 would be fine for a few retics for atleast a year or so. maybe longer depending if the retics actually keep the long tails or not. mine doesn't have the awesome long tail anymore so im jus going off its disc size.
