a fluval canister filter (not sure what type it is coming with the tank)

2 airstones

3 albino senegal bichirs
1 black ghost knifefish
1 crenicichla lepidota
6 geophagus leucosticta
6 geophagus red head topajos

sounds good here. But for some reason, I think you might want a little more filtration.

Do you already have the HOB filters, or are they coming with the tank? If you do not have them and they are not coming with the tank I would consider not even using them because I hear that they are a PITA to maintenance and that the plastic is cheap.

You need to shoot for:
4x turnover for sumps
4x turnover for canisters
10x turnover for HOB filters

In reality, going with the bare minimum means more poop in the tank, less clear water, occasional dead spots, and minimum oxygenation.

I would do 2 xp2s, and 1 small HOB filter for surface agitation (though I am sure you could get by without that.

i just think that most canisters are really expensive
so i was hoping the canister that comes with the tank along with the HOBs that i will buy is enough
the 2 hobs i am going to do will do a combined 700 gph so that combined
