hey guys, sorry I hve posted this question before but I havn't pulled the triggeron anything yet. I have a 120G tank with 1 Male Jack Dempsey, 1 Male Firemouth, 1 Male Convict, and 3 Clown Loaches. The Jack, Con, and Firemouth are all 3.5-4inches big, and the loaches are just about over an inch. Like I have said in the past the tank is heaviley filtered and I do 80% water changes every week. At first I wanted add a small Male Green Terror, butdoing research on Vieja species I wouldlove to give one a try. I would really love to add a Male Vieja Zonatas, and my next pick would be a Vieja Hartwegi. I know I cant do both, but I really wouldlike the Zonatas. I think he would be a good addition to the tank, what do you guys think? I know my stock would be heavey but I think it may work. If not could you recommend another fish from the Vieja familey, I like Black Belts and Hartwegi if the Zonatus wouldn't work out. Thanks guys its taken me along time but I think this is what I want! Let me know

Is it 4 or 5 feet long?

I think it could work. But I would add 2 more Clown Loaches before anything else, they're happier and much more active in bigger groups.

The tank is 4ft, do you guys think adding a Vieja Zonatus would be a good move. I have read they are not overley aggressive, the jack demp, firemouth, and convict should be good tankmates, they are all still small so if they grow up together that may help. I want the Zonatus, but if you guys don't think it would work I do also like the Argentea and Black Belt. Can you guys give me your opinions. Thanks please help!!! Thanks

Thank you for the help, does anyone else have an opinion or advice. I would like to know if I am making the right move or not, I don't want to make a mistake with a nice happy tank. Thanks guys

I think I narrowedit down to the final two. The more I researched this the more I love the Vieja Argentea. I would love a male and I don't think the Argentea is as aggressive as the Zonatus, but I could be wrong. So it's up to you guys, if you were me givin my tank as is now, what would you do? The Zonatus or the Argentea, or neither. The tank is a happy healthy tank and I don't want to add anything to aggressive, thats why I was thinking the Argentea. Please let me know and thanks for the help!

honestly i have read mixed things about both argentea and zonatus.some are easy going, others are tough.it would be hard to ID a small male, you may have to buy a few,let them grow out.that may be a better way for you to get a group that gets along well also.sometimes trial and error is the only way to find out.have a back up plan, tank ready to move a fish to,LFS that will take the fish, etc.another vieja type that may work is synspilum,i currently have a few.
