120g: From Start To Finish

As some of you may know, I recently picked up a used tank off ebay, and I was recently cleaning it and getting it ready to be moved into the house.
Well, that day has finally come. Today, we will be moving the tank from the garage into the basement, which will eventually become my fishroom.
I'm going to post updates in this thread whenever I get something new done, until the tank is fully stocked. I wasn't going to tell anybody the stock list, but if anyone wants to know just say so.
Here are progression pics from start to finish.

The week we got it, when it was filled with water and vinegar:

The next cleaning day, when we cleaned out the inside more:

This time we started to scrape off the background, the tank was still really dirty:

Here the tank is as of yesterday, looking as good as new(for the most part) and ready to be moved:

I'll have more pictures up tonight when we move it and put it on the stand with the canopy.

It's gonna be awhile, lol.
All I'm saying is I'm going fishing...
Is that a big enough hint for the stocking?
 
looking good...isnt it awesome when you pick up something looking all a mes and you can put in a little elbow grease and make it look fantastic?
i just picked up a 125gal off of craigslist last saturday and all week i have been sanding and painting and making it look nice for my living room, its turning out super nice so far... i cant wait until you post pics and get is set up.

and you should deff not tell anyone the stock list.. make them WAIT! ;)

I thought about touching up the stand also.
I don't know if I'll say the stock list...
I think I will if this gets at least three more replies.
If I tell you guys though, you'll think I'm crazy.
 
nah man..... dont tell them... make them wait.....lol....

yeah well i sanded mine down and painted it with black glossy krylon color creations paint....its about 8 bucks at ur local store...and it really looks nice...you should deff just do it while you have it all apart....and before you fill it up and change your mind def worth the time to do it. lol.ill be posting pics of mine probably later..as i should be able to fill it up.


i have a fish waiting to go in it and one im getting for a xmas resent going in there.

I'm considering touching it up, but I could honestly do it with the tank on it. All the chips and stuff are near the bottom.
What fish is going in yours?

Anyway, I don't know if I can hold back the stocklist much longer. I have the sudden urge to tell someone.:ROFL:
