I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions as to wat i can stalk my 120g tank with. I 5really like Jags,JDs,TX,FM, and any cichlids you guys suggest. Thank you all for help[ing me out here.
If I were you, I would go with a Central American biotope. More specifically, get a colony of firemouths going, say 6-8 fish (they would also serve as dithers) and get a male carpinitis (texan). Maybe a male JD too. Set up the tank with lots of rockwork and broken terracota pots piled up high in the center and you will have a beautiful set up!
I really like the suggestion of a colony of firemouths, I tihnk having say 6 females would be really cool, then as a centerpeice, a Vieja synspilus. Also with this, a group of 3 clown loaches for clean up.
I still say stick with a CA theme. Another idea would be to intermix 2 colonies: a group of firemouths and a group of rainbow cichlids. Then add a vieja of some sort -- synsipilus or a blackbelt would fit in nicely
