Probably going to get more advice in this subforum, but I have been contemplating brackish for the last year. I decided to give it a miss on my 225 because of the cost of all the salt just to go up 0.002 sg. Now I will get a 120 gallon hopefully tomorrow. If I decide to go the brackish route what would be a good set up for me?

Here are the fish that I like

Scats
Columbian cat sharks
Mono's
puffer species
Archer
Target fish
etc.

I could also grow out a datnoid in there. I plan on getting all the fish small, but I was just curious on what my options are, what would you do with that tank ?

if it was up to me i would do the archers, as long as you can provide space for the to spit, and the target fish. target fish are great and super active, so they need lots of room to swim. they also like to be in groups but keep an eye on them as the tend to fight each other while they are young. also keep in mind that they can get pretty big, i believe they can get up to 15inchs, but probably smaller in an aquarium. also dragon gobies are always nice if you have sand because they will filter feed and help keep it clean. hope this helps some.
