I have a 48x24 120gl tank that I am getting ready to finally setup. Cabinets are being removed between my dining room and kitchen to have a custom stand built for the tank. The tank will be viewable on both sides, not against a wall except on one side.

A few questions. This is the largest tank I have set up to date. I have several but my largest is 55gl and these fish (mainly catfish) are going into the 120gl.

1) Filter - Rena FilStar xP3 good choice?
2) How much room would I need between the wall and tank on the side to feed the Rena hoses down the side to the canister housed in the stand?
3) Since the tank is viewable on both sides and only against a wall on one side of it. Would it be best to get glass tops and run a large one light bar over the top so there is only one cord?
4) If not what is the best way to do this so it looks nice with cords, hoses etc all ran down that only side against the wall.
5) Where is the best place online to get these things I need?

get a fluval 405 it like $135 shipped to your door on ebay, or get an FX5 for $180 shpped also on ebay. but the FX dont wont through, the door of most tank stands.
